Although we have
introduced superior genetics into our
herd, we have a
"production herd" producing
between 75 & 100 fawns each year.
When you
hunt our ranch you are the only hunter
here! The only time we will have more
than one hunter on the ranch is when
they are family, such as, father &
son,
or friends that cherish hunting together.
Our "Ambiance"
We
have excellent accommodations, great
home cooked meals, professional trophy
handling, skilled guides who know our
Ranch and the big bucks that live there.
Add: 240 acres of hilly, wooded terrain,
fishing for yellow perch and walleye,
traditional buck pole, bonfire,
walk in cooler, opportunity to "still
hunt" and "rattle" and
you can visualize a most memorable hunting
experience at the Powder Horn Ranch.
Herd Management
The
number of hunts we have each year varies
according to the results of the
previous years hunts, spring shed collections,
and countless hours of watching deer.
We will not over
shoot our herd! Our goal is to harvest
mature bucks at least 5-1/2 years old
and weighing up to 300lbs.
